The Kentucky Energy and Environment Cabinet’s (EEC) Division of Waste Management is accepting grant applications for projects that develop an integrated recycling infrastructure, manage household hazardous waste and offer public education programs relating to recycling and household hazardous waste management.

It’s interesting to note that such federal programs as ones assisting mothers in attending college are not a new phenomenon’s instead they are existing government benefits that have been improved upon and made more aware of to the public. Pell grants are a great asset for potential students, and here is why they are causing a stir among moms who want to return to the classroom. Mistakes That Could Ruin a Great Scholarship Application

Scholarship is a program that will help you continue your studies for free. But, you should always keep in mind that simple mistakes could prevent you from being picked as the recipient of an educational program. A simple error could mean lost money, and a lost chance of being able to go to school for free. This article will be showing you some of the mistakes that you need to avoid when applying for an educational grant.

Spelling is one of the biggest factors that will decide whether you deserve the grant or not. There is a story of a girl who has an average GPA of 3.95 but was not thrown out of the list of all the applicants simply because she had misspelled the word “salutatorian.” When submitting an application form, always check your spelling and grammar, and keep it free from mistakes.

Another common mistake that you should avoid when applying for a grant is your personal information. A single mistake in your identity could cost you the opportunity to study for free. The submitted papers and your application form should contain the same information about your identity in order to prevent you from being dropped out of the list soon.

When filling up application forms, never leave blank spaces. You should tell them everything they need to know because this information will help them decide whether you deserve the grant or not. If information being asked is not applicable to you, simply write N/A which stands for Not Applicable.

Following directions is also another important thing to remember when applying for an educational grant. When the instruction says signature over printed name, write your printed name and place the signature over it. Never do anything that is not instructed and never do things as you wish.

Another thing that will cost you the whole scholarships is the deadline. Make sure that you submit the requirements on time. Organizations never accept applications that were submitted a minute after the deadline ends. Mail your applications early because this will increase your chances of getting the scholarship.

Always remember these things when you are applying for an educational grant. Keep in mind that your future lies on these application forms and you only have one shot every year. Make sure that you quadruple, not double not triple, quadruple check your forms before submitting them, and always submit them three to four days ahead of the deadline. These simple things will further increase your chances of getting the educational grant and finishing your studies for free.

Scholarships Provided by The Obama Grant With High Returns

If someone had to ask you to explain the Obama grant, could you? Many are uncertain as to what it means exactly. Nevertheless the government under the much admired Obama administration is working hard to help working mothers in returning to college. In truth, the federal programs gaining attention for helping mothers attend college are not new creations but rather they’re improvements on existing government benefits. Potential students such as working Moms are certainly taking note of the Pell grant which makes for a great benefit. It’s interesting to note that the Federal Pell grants have been in existence for many years and is regarded as one of the most common government financial aid that can be awarded for college. One huge advantage of the Pell grant is that there is no repayment required unlike a typical loan making it extremely attractive to any students in need of aid. If you do not have a professional degree or a bachelor’s but wish to attain an undergraduate degree you have a good chance of being awarded the Pell grant. With such advantages it’s no wonder that the Scholarship for moms program is being paid so much attention by single, working mothers. Although there is no specific program by that name, President Obama and his administration encourage moms to attend college using the money available to them through Pell grants. Thankfully you don’t have to worry about being restricted when it comes to the Pell grants and seeking further sources of financial aid which can occur with monetary gifts. If you require further assistance in covering educational costs application can be made through both the federal programs and non-federal private organizations. The highest amount provided through the Pell grant totals $5,350.00 being awarded from the 1st of July 2009 to the 30th June 2010. So even though this amount will most likely not cover all your college costs, you can still apply for other resources to supplement your federal Pell grant aid.

The federal Pell grant has a further advantage i n that it does not limit you to its use once paid out. Other requirements which maybe needed when it comes to education may include laptops, books, travel and of course housing. Highlighted benefits of the Pell grant program have increased due to the attention been given by the Obama administration as well as making scholarships for moms’ all the more popular. Such a federal program makes for a favorable choice when it comes to single mothers who are working and wish to earn a degree. Thankfully many are beginning to realize that family obligations or financial needs does not mean that college is no longer an option. The Obama grant obtained through the Pell grant program has created an opportunity for many to take advantage of further college education. This can be said especially for those working mothers. Single mothers working full-time are specifically being encouraged by the current administration to take advantage and earn a degree. The current administration is heartily cheering for single, full-time working mothers to apply for college and earn a degree. Why give up on a brighter future?

Hence, despite the challenge that stands in the way, you will have to strive hard enough to obtain that highly coveted college diploma.

Fortunately, there are certain forms of financial aides that can help students, such as yourself, get into college and finish your college education without having to spend a single cent coming from your own pocket. You might have heard of academic and sports scholarships, but if you find them difficult to apply for, don’t fret– there are ridiculously easy scholarships which you can apply for and they don’t even involve an entrance exam nor will the sponsors look over your academic standing in your previous school.

This might sound like an episode from Ripley’s Believe it or Not, but yes, there are scholarships for the surprisingly tall people and they will not involve a basketball and a hoop. There is also a scholarship made especially for those who can predict the future, as well as a scholarship program named after Klingon, the intergalactic language popularized by every geek’s favorite, Star Trek.

If you just can’t get into a scholarship program with seemingly “normal” qualification requirements, you should try these easy scholarships, which are, at the same time ridiculously easy to apply for. These are very easy scholarships to get, but just like their academically-dependent scholarship counterparts, these scholarships also require each and every one of its applicants to undergo a process in order to qualify for a cash prize intended for one’s tuition.

Below are 5 easy scholarships to get without entrance exams or the involvement of any document that shows your academic standing:

  1. Scholarships for potato-lovers: Potato Industry Scholarship. The Potato Industry (yes, there is such a thing), wants you to show your love for baked potatoes, fried potatoes, sliced potatoes, or generally, just potatoes. If you are obsessed with potatoes and if you are considering taking up a course that deals with growing and harvesting potatoes, then you are eligible for a $2, 000 award under the Potato Industry Scholarship.
  2. Scholarships for linguists: The Klingon Language Institute Scholarship. Whether you are interested to learn French, Spanish, Gibberish, and even Klingon, the Klingon Language Institute is for you. This scholarship invites all students who love to learn foreign languages. 4. Scholarships for modern-day oracles: Excellence in Predicting the Future Award. What’s the winning combination in the lottery? What is going to happen 3 days from now? How about the economy– what do you think is going to happen to it a few months from now? The Excellence in Predicting the Future Award encourages high school students to take up economics in college. By simply telling them your prediction for the community, you might be the lucky recipient of this award.
  5. Scholarships for Aspiring Astronauts: SPAACSE. The SPAACSE wants you to write about space travel– without leaving the Earth! Simply write an essay about space travel and you could win the $1, 000 dollar scholarship award.

You might wonder why these scholarships are very easy to apply for. The answer is quite simple: since they cater to a specific field and group of students, the sponsors are trying to help raise awareness and invite more people to become part of these unique industries. One way to do so is by showing the community that support is strong in these fields.

These may be easy scholarships to get but you will be competing with several other students who want to avail of their generous cash awards. Applying for an educational grant is not an easy task. You need to pass all the requirements that the organization is asking, but it does not end there, there will be a series of tests that will conducted in order to determine who among all the applicants really deserve the grant. This can take up to a few weeks, but whenever you are chosen as a lucky recipient, you can already start looking for a university.

When looking for a scholarship, always remember that the papers you will be submitting will greatly affect your chances of getting the financial aid. These papers will be the basis of the organization whether you need the educational grant or are better given to other applicants. There are only limited slots for these grants, and you need to give your best when applying for one. You will never know when you will be accepted or not.
